When I was living in the Northern hemisphere, a real tree was the only tree for me! Pure cymetrical shape and the aroma of pine that would fill the house. However, now that I am an antipodean, a fake tree it must be. It has sparked a new love for the alternative Christmas Tree!
Here are a few of my favourites from Pinterest!
It's not only the tree I love here, but my ever lasting love of natural timber an greys - oh the simplicity!
I have a friend Alice, who is not only renowned for her style, she is such a clever crafty lady! On a recent visit to her gorgeous abode, she really impressed me with her fab coastal interpretation of a the Christmas tree. Constructed from driftwood and fishing line it comes complete with shells and starfish! Great for compact spaces too!
So impressed was I with Alices 2013 tree, she shared with me her 2012 version - which I loved too! Again the costal influence plays out. Don't you just love the shell on the top!
And finally two trees, one themed purple and silver the other gold and red. However, both suffering the savage daily attacks from two little boys!
